Congrats to Beth Stalker! She made it to the Hollywood finals on American Idol. .
The Changing Hearts Project came into light as a result of the song “Think Of Me” written by Trudi (Cross) Southerland, Kaley Willow & Ray Fontenault. When Ray and Trudi completed this song they immediately saw an impact that they have never experienced on any other song they had written…a saved life. Not only did the song touch the heart of that young woman, who had 2 previous abortions, but it also reached #1 on songramp.com’s “All - Hot 100” competing against more popular genres like pop, rock and country. We received positive comments from both sides of the abortion issue. Perhaps we were blessed with a bridge to deliver a powerful message. This led us to believe we needed avenues to share our song, not for financial gain, but rather a greater opportunity, to perhaps make a difference.
With the co-operation of a wonderful Christian artist, Beth Stalker and Producer Ben West, we set off to record a master version of the song “Think Of Me”. Well projects generally have a way of growing on their own and Ray thought another song of his would be fitting for the project as well; the song was called “On This Road”. Ray contacted Galen Breen who produced the tracks and Galen graciously gave Ray permission to use the tracks for the Changing Hearts Project. After receiving permission to use the tracks Ray contacted Carolyn Taylor White, who had contacts with another quality Christian artist named Carolan Deacon. Carolan was more than willing to offer her vocals to the project. And so the "Think Of Me Project", became formally known as the "Changing Hearts Project".
